Programme Board
Programme Board's role is to make decisions that are
strategically important for TEDxZagreb event, and to supervise that
TEDxZagreb event is organised in accordance with TED principles and
terms of TEDx license. The members of the Programme
Board are involved with TEDxZagreb event personally and as
volunteers, i.e. in the Programme Board they do not represent the
organizations or institutions they manage or their respective
employers.

Ankica Mamić - the owner and
Director of the company IM&C d.o.o., an agency for integral
marketing and communication from Zagreb. As a communication expert,
she led some of the most important communication projects in
Croatia, such as the privatization process of Croatia Insurance,
the creation and implementation of the communication strategy for
the Varaždin County, the merger of Erste & Steiermarkische Bank
and Riječka banka, the introduction of mediation as an alternative
means for solving disputes in USAID Croatia, the creation and
implementation of communication strategy for the Croatian textile
company Varteks and many other projects. She is member of the
Croatian PR Association - HUOJ, EUPRERA, IPRA, CIPR, ECD. She
graduated from the Zagreb Faculty of Philosophy, and has completed
a host of seminars and training seminars, such as the CIPR
programme and Corporative management for supervisory board members
(EFZG).
Bojan Hadžihalilović - co-founder and
creative director of the Fabrika agency from Sarajevo, the largest
independent home agency dealing with design, computer graphics, TV
animation, production of TV clips and marketing communication.
Twenty years ago, he founded a graphic design studio in Sarajevo,
called Trio, together with a team - and, following the war, in
1996, he founded the Fabrika agency together with his partners.
Fabrika and Trio are design authors of some of famous regional
magazines, such as: Mladina (Slovenia), Globus, Nacional (Croatia),
Vreme (Serbia), Dani, (BiH). He lectures on graphic design as an
associate professor at the Visual Arts Academy in Sarajevo, and
visual communication as a guest lecturer at the Performing Arts
Academy and the Faculty of Architecture.
Goran Radman - the founder and Director
of the company NAUTAR, dealing with business counselling, was
elected this year Dean of the VERN college. He started his
professional career in 1984, as advisor for international relations
for the Presidency of the Republic, and was director of the
Croatian TV afterwards. In 1992, he becomes director of the company
MicroLAB, and enters Microsoft Corporation in 1996, and founds and
initiates Microsoft Croatia. He was general director of the
Adriatic region first, followed by South-East Europe. He was
nominated President of Microsoft for South-East Europe in 2004, and
President of Central and East Europe in 2007. Since 2008, he is a
non-executive president of the partner company SenseConsulting. He
is a graduate student of International Integration Theories at the
Faculty of Political Science, and has also studied at Wharton
School MBA, INSEAD and the London School of Economics.
Ivana
Nikolić - graduate painter and director of two
companies: Indigo plavo and Indigo komunikacije. She has rich
experience in development and coordination of communication
projects in the fields of fashion, culture, training, art,
cosmetics, interior decoration, government projects. She also has
long years of experience in employee coordination, projects and
business, as well as in creating and implementing communication
strategies and strategic counselling in the communication area. She
is President of the MRAK association - a network for development
and creativity, and assistant lecturer at the Textile-Technological
Faculty, lecturing the Presentation Practical Skills. She is member
of the Croatian Designer Association, the Croatian PR Association,
the Croatian Association of Businesswomen KRUG and AmCham.
Nenad
Maljković - organizer and curator of the TEDxZagreb
event. He is a social entrepreneur, translator and personal
development workshops facilitator; he lives and works in Zagreb. He
has by now led a number of social-entrepreneurship projects,
collaborating with different civil society organizations: he was
the founding director of the leading Croatian business organization
for environment protection (the Croatian Business Council of
Sustainable Development), and one of the founders of youth
entrepreneurship training in Croatia (Junior Achievement),
principal coordinator for the organization of Dalai Lama's visit to
Zagreb, and Head of development of the first Croatian organization
for financial education and consumer debt counselling (Život u
plusu). He initiated and organized the civil initiative Urban Group
Household. He is member of the Croatian Coaching Association, and
is one of trained teachers of corporate social responsibility as
member of the Association of Management Consultants. He is
President of the Creative Livign Society, a cultural and
educational not-for-profit association that is organizing the
TEDxZagreb event.
Predrag Pale
- conceived and constructed the Croatian Internet during its first
ten years. He initiated the projects of the Croatian Academic
Research Network - CARNet, and the System of Scientific Information
- SZI in 1994 and the National Information Library System - NISKA
in 1998. He participated in design and implementation of the system
for the Croatian Reporting News Agency - HINA, and in the programme
and communication part of the first Croatian online transaction
credit card system. He is co-founder of the Central and Eastern
European Networking Association - CEENet, a regional association of
national academic computer networks. He teaches at the Faculty of
Electrical Engineering and Computing of the University of Zagreb,
and is member of several national groups for the application of IT
in public systems. From 1993 to 2000, he was assistant to the
Minister of Science and Technology, in charge of IT science. He was
awarded the medal of Danica Hrvatska with an imprint of Ruđer
Bošković and the State Award for science.
Saša
Vučinić - a TED member and curator of the TEDxZagreb
event. He has been Managing Director of Media Development Loan Fund
since he co-founded the organization in 1995. Prior to that,
he worked as a media consultant to the Soros Foundations Network
(which later became the Open Society Institute), advising the
national foundations on strategy for development assistance to
their respective independent media sectors. From 1990 to 1993
he served as General Manager and Editor-in-Chief of the independent
radio station B-92 in Belgrade,
Yugoslavia. He also served as the station's
first Director. He began his journalism career in 1980' as a
reporter at the political weekly Non, and he
eventually became Non's Editor-in-Chief. Sasa is a
graduate of the Faculty of Law of the
University of
Belgrade, and was also educated at
Harvard Business
School. He is Ashoka Senior Global Fellow. He was
speaker at the Oxford TEDGlobal conference in 2005; his TEDTalk is

Stojan
Pelko - State Secretary to the Ministry of Culture of
Slovenia. He received his MA and PhD in social science from the
University of Ljubljana, and a degree in audio-visual research
(D.E.A.) from the Universite de la Sorbonne Nouvelle - Paris III.
He was editor-in-chief of the film monthly Ekran, and currently
lectures on film theory at the Department of Sociology of Culture
of the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Ljubljana. During
the accession of Slovenia to the EU, he was Creative Director of
the project 'Slovenia - Home in Europe.' In 2000, he founded the
agency for communication counselling Korpus, and specializes in
political marketing. From 2000 to 2005, he was President of the
supervisory board of the Film Foundation of the Republic of
Slovenia and member of the National Culture Council. He published
several books on film theory and the relation between film and
architecture, while his latest, the Podoba misli, delves into the
relation of film theory and the philosophy of Gilles Deleuze.
Veran Matić - Director and
editor-in-chief of the leading Belgrade radio and TV station B92,
consisting of a radio station, TV, online services, publishing and
cultural activities, as well as the concert agency and cultural
centre REX. He has been in journalism since 1984, in alternative
and youth media in Belgrade, Zagreb and Ljubljana. In May 1989, he
founded the Radio B92, the first independent radio station in
Serbia. The station was banned on several occasions, but managed to
broadcast up until the point when it was illegally taken over by a
group affiliated with governing structures in April 1999. Following
democratic changes, the Radio and TV B92 continue to develop
independent professional journalism. He is winner of a number of
prestigious international awards for his work in the past ten
years.
